What it is
Grok Bot gives you Bots: AI teammates with names, jobs, and memory. Per xAI’s docs, each Bot works on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, a file system, and a terminal, so work finishes in your real tools instead of ending as a chat draft. Bots use connectors where there is one and computer use for everything else, and they keep working when your laptop is closed.
You work with a Bot by messaging it. Several Bots can run at once, message each other, and share a group chat. You can show a Bot a workflow once and it can save it as a skill or routine and run it on a schedule. The docs say it comes back when something needs your approval, and that drafts are approved by you before they go out.
xAI’s release notes list Grok Bot as available since August 2026. It is a different product from Grok the chat assistant (see Grok).
Best sales uses
xAI’s use-case page lists a Sales Outbound Bot. Its starter task: take the accounts in a CRM view, score them against your ideal customer profile and recent intent, find up to three relevant contacts per account, skip anyone already in an active sequence, and draft email and LinkedIn messages in your style. The Bot returns a review list and does not send or enroll anyone. After that works, xAI suggests a nightly research routine that still stops at the review list.
Other roles on that page that fit sales:
- Account Health for a CSM: a ranked watch list from usage, support, and renewal timing, with evidence and a next step, and no customer contact.
- Chief of Staff: a source-linked daily digest of what changed and where you owe a decision.
Who it’s for
SDRs who start the day with a long list of accounts, AEs and managers who want a ranked list with evidence, and CSMs watching a portfolio. It is not for anyone who wants a tool to send messages on its own. Keep the final send for yourself.
Setup effort
Medium. xAI says setup is a message, not a workflow builder: create a Bot, describe the job, and grant access as it asks. The real work is connecting your CRM and email, signing in to sites on the Bot’s computer yourself, and tuning the Bot until its review list is worth reading.
Pricing (checked 2026-10-15)
- There is no separate Grok Bot subscription. Access comes with a plan.
- The X Subscription: included on Premium ($30 a month), Super ($100), and Ultra ($200). Not included on Plus ($8) or Free. Usage comes from one weekly pool shared across Grok, Grok Bot, and Cursor; Premium has 4 times the Plus pool, Super 15 times, Ultra 50 times. When the pool runs out, extra use is paid from prepaid credit.
- Legacy plans: every paid individual Cursor plan and Cursor Teams include it, and you can link an individual SuperGrok or X Premium+ account. Enterprise goes through sales.
- Free trial: a usage credit rather than a set number of days, with a 7-day window. A large agent job can use most of it at once.
Caveats
- A Bot acts in real systems. Give it read and draft access first. Keep sending, sequence enrollment, and CRM changes behind your approval, as xAI’s own use-case page advises.
- One shared computer. xAI says all your Bots share one cloud computer, its files, and its logins, so anything placed there is available to every Bot you run.
- Sites can say no. xAI says a site can block automation or expire a session, and the Bot hands those steps back to you.
- LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s terms ban bots and auto-messaging, per our Safe Use page. Let a Bot draft; send LinkedIn messages by hand.
- Memory is not a source. xAI says to have the Bot check the current source for consequential decisions instead of relying on memory.
- Disclosure. The first draft runs of our plays were done in a Grok Bot session, and this page was researched in one. That is not an agent test, and there are no sponsor or affiliate links on this site.
What we couldn't verify
- How well a Bot does the Sales Outbound job on real data. xAI's SDR guide is one xAI employee's own account, so it is vendor-reported.
- Which sales tools have a ready connector. xAI's docs say Bots use connectors where available and computer use for everything else; the SDR guide names Salesforce, Gong, Nooks, Amplemarket, and Hex, and we did not confirm each connector.
- Dollar amounts for extra usage past the weekly pool. xAI says top-ups are paid from prepaid credit and we did not find a per-task cost.
- In which regions @bot tagging on X works. xAI says it is not available in every region yet.
