Muse: Meta's personal AI agent, with a small-business version

What it is
Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. Per Meta, it can browse the web, connect to your email, calendar, and apps, work in the background after you close the app, build documents and small tools, and message you first when something needs you. It has its own persistent Linux computer with a full browser that you can step into. You can chat with it in the Muse app on mobile or Mac, or in WhatsApp.
Muse for Small Business, announced September 29, 2026, adds connectors for tools including Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, and Zoom, plus Facebook, Instagram, and Meta ads. Axios reports there is no separate business app: it is the same Muse.
Best sales uses
Muse is built for personal life and for small-business owners, not for a quota-carrying rep. Meta’s business page says it can draft customer replies, plan content, and help with cash flow and ads. For an owner who sells:
- Reply drafts for customer messages, held for your approval.
- Content and ad planning from your connected Instagram, Facebook, and ad accounts.
- Follow-up reminders that nudge you about people you owe a reply.
Who it’s for
Owners who sell and run their own marketing, with Meta accounts they already use. Not for reps whose work lives in a company CRM, and not for anyone outside the US or Canada today.
Setup effort
Medium. Log in with a Meta account, then connect each app and set Muse’s permissions. Meta’s help page explains that you control read and write actions per connector.
Pricing (checked 2026-10-15)
- Free, with a usage limit that refreshes. Meta says most of what people need is free.
- Power plan: $20 a month, 500M Muse tokens per week.
- Maximum plan: $100 a month, 3B Muse tokens per week.
- Subscriptions renew each month until you cancel, and benefits may vary by region.
Caveats
- Sending can’t be undone. Meta’s help page says some actions, like sending an email, cannot be reversed. Keep approvals on for anything that reaches a customer.
- Approvals are your job. Meta says Muse asks before sensitive actions like payments and sending, and that you are responsible for guiding it and approving what it does.
- Limited testing. Meta says Muse subscriptions are in limited testing and not available in every location.
- Customer data. Check Meta’s data terms and your own policy before connecting customer lists. See Safe Use.
What we couldn't verify
- Whether Muse connects to sales CRMs such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Meta's small-business page lists connectors including HighLevel, Klaviyo, QuickBooks, Shopify, Slack, and Stripe 'and more' and says the full list is in settings.
- How well it performs for sales work. The business examples on Meta's pages are Meta's own, and Meta says it has been testing with businesses.
- Meta's privacy claims (for example, that conversations are not shared with Meta's ad systems). We report them as Meta's statements.
- What a 'Muse token' costs in practice. Meta states weekly token amounts and no task-level cost.
